The Telangana State Eligibility Test (Set) Declaration by Osmania University is likely to arrive next week. The test will be held in June. Already the UGC NET system has been modified. Accordingly, there are two papers in the set. The OU officials said the formal announcement would be issued once the official information was received from the UGC. Officials said the SET would be held ahead of schedule on July 8. Qualified PG candidates can apply.

The National Education Reference is a special test for qualified personnel to be appointed as faculty/assistant professors. Following the goal of setting up uniform standards, CSIRs are conducting UGC networks and science departments for the humanities section of the national level. While these tests are conducted in the English language, many of the native speakers who have studied in the mother tongue are not eligible to qualify. UGC has allowed the setting up of the state level to overcome this. Junior lecturers are required to be promoted to degree faculty and require a Net / Set Eligibility. This qualification also allows for entry into Ph.D. courses.
